Mommy's favorite picture (for now...)

4 months old!

Ben will be four months old on the 29th (unfortunately February doesn't have a 29th this year!) His four month checkup is Monday morning at 10 a.m. (his mommy is looking forward to sleeping in on Monday instead of getting up at 6 a.m. She is not, however, looking forward to the immunizations Ben will receive.)

Ben has been very busy this past week- on Friday he was visited by not one, but four, of mommy's friends from work. Friday afternoon he got a special package from Virginia Tech. And last but not least, on Saturday he rolled over from his back to his stomach for the first time ever and hasn't stopped yet! In honor of these past four months here are four never before seen pictures of Benjamin.

Ben finally realized that his hands do more than provide entertainment for his mouth.

Hmm- which one to choose?

And he's rocking and rolling over again!

With love from Liz

Daddy's sister, aka Aunt Elizabeth, channeled her inner Perez Hilton and created this birthday card for him.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Ben's daddy turned 28 this past Wednesday! Last year the best present he got was learning Mommy was pregnant! (She told him the night before his birthday because she's no good at keeping secrets.) This year he got to spend his birthday with Ben!!!

Mommy, Daddy and Ben went to a local pizza joint to celebrate. The excitement was obviously too much for Ben.

Below is a picture of Daddy's presents this year.

Ben gave Daddy a dvd of Zombieland. Ben has great taste in movies. (He bought Inglourious Basterds for Daddy for Christmas.)

Below Daddy is telling Ben thank you for the great gift!

Mommy didn't make a cake for Daddy this year. Instead he got one little cupcake. He also tried a teething toy, but decided the cupcake tasted better.

Ben took out his frustration (from not being allowed a cupcake) on an innocent teething toy.

After the partying ended, it was time for Ben's bath. Bailey the cat decided to join him.

Ben loves birthdays!!!

The Benjamin Worldwide Tour Continues...

This weekend Benjamin journeyed to our state capitol, Richmond. He was extremely excited to meet his great-grandparents, Daddy Pete and Geemoo.

During the course of the weekend he decided to show off for his great-grandma and demonstrated his ability to roll over. (Apparently he only rolls over once every two weeks.)

He also met his great-aunt Susan (grandma to his cousin Maggie.) He really enjoyed talking to her.

Ben spent some quality time with his Aunt Cathy. Aunt Cathy has made sure Benjamin is well-outfitted in cute hats this winter.

Ben also met his cousin, Mary Elizabeth. His mommy, however, never got a picture of the two together.

After all the day's excitement, Ben was tired!!! Here he is with his grammy.

As tired as he was, he managed to wake his mommy up bright and early on Sunday (6:45 am!) Mommy thinks Ben may have missed his daddy!

Before Ben left, he posed for one final picture- the Lambert family's new additions with their mommies and grandmommies!

Ben loves his cousin Maggie!

Ben had an exciting weekend... one highlight was meeting his little cousin Maggie for the first time ever. You can tell they are going to be lifelong buds (and future hokies.)

Ben really reached out for Maggie's arms- the mommies did not pose them! More pictures to come after Ben goes to bed.

Mommy's Little Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day! Last Sunday we took Ben to a local studio to get some professional pictures. He did great! Below are a few of our favorite pictures (unedited so you may see a grown-up's foot or arm.) The pillow and quilt were made by Ben's Aunt Cathy.

Ben's First Snow Day!

Friday was Ben's first official snow day. His school closed because of the snow! He wouldn't have gone to school anyway because his daddy's school and mommy's firm were closed... but it was exciting nonetheless.

The day started out with a little tummy time... still no repeats of his rocking and rolling over the other night.

After that he played with daddy who is trying to teach him how to make funny faces.

At some point in the day he needed a wardrobe change. His mommy chose his fleece polar bear sleeper in honor of the snow outside!

Then he tried out a new present- a swing/rocker/recliner that mommy's boss bought for him. He loves it! Below he's "laid back" just like snoop d o double g.

He and Mommy got in some play time too! Before he knew it, it was bedtime and time for another wardrobe change.

Before he went to bed, he helped Mommy pick out a book to read him. He chose The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Ben can't wait for his next snow day!!

Traveling in Style

No matter where he goes Ben goes in style. Below he is modeling a sporty coat by Baby Gap that his Aunt Mary bought for him. He believes the ears add that certain something, don't you agree?
