Ben's First Beach Week

Ben had his first beach week during the last week of July. He got to spend a whole week in Nags Head! Here a few of the MANY pictures taken.



Ben enjoyed playing in the sand and exploring. His mom had to keep his paci in his mouth to keep him from trying to eat the sand!


It was very hot during the first few days at the beach so Ben took a trip to the Aquarium where he was able to stay cool.


The sky makes his blue eyes pop!!!


Ben loved eating out with his mommy and daddy and even got to try new foods like corn bread and whip cream! (He likes both!)


Ben is good at making funny faces!!


Bye bye beach! Ben will see you next July!

9 months old!

Ben is going to be 9 months old next Thursday! There's an extremely good chance his mom won't be posting on his 9 month birthday so here are two pictures that show just how much he has changed in nine months!!!

Ben's First State Bar Conference

This past weekend Ben attended his first Virginia State Bar conference. The highlights of the weekend included swimming and sleeping (as evidenced below.) He also was allowed to attend the Young Lawyers' Conference's annual meeting where he wowed all the ladies with his charm and wit.

Ben's first encounter with a swimming pool. His friend (and future girlfriend) Kaitlyn kept him company while he got used to being in the big kids' pool.


Swimming makes Ben sleepy!!


Mommy dressed Ben in this adorable ensemble which included seersucker swim trunks. Don't worry Aunt Elizabeth, Daddy is looking for a matching hat.



Once again, swimming makes Ben tired! Mommy let Ben get in the bed with her and Daddy early on Father's Day morning... Although he's not yet 2 feet tall Ben managed to take up the majority of the king sized bed.

The happiest baby on the block!!

As we've said before, Ben is a happy-go-lucky baby. He's usually got a smile for everyone (even strangers) unless it's naptime or time to eat. I guess you could say he's the happiest baby on the block!!




Of course he's the only baby on our block!!
